There are three reasons for you to stay for a while at the salon on the top floor; to look down a romantic city view in the gathering dusk as the most beautiful moment of the day, to rest in the intimate seating for you and your special one after bathing in the communal bath, and supreme relaxation in a massage chair to induce a good night’s sleep.

History of Yunokawa Onsen
Yunokawa Onsen, the hot spring Enomoto Takeaki had bathed during the times of the Battle of Hakodate back in 1869.
In 1653, people of Matsumae clan discovered Yunokawa Onsen while they sought a recuperation place for the son of the domain governor of Matsumae who had suffered from an intractable disease.
Consequently, it became recognized as the recovery house for the Tokugawa shogunate military and that as Enomoto Takeaki, the admiral of the Tokugawa fleet had immersed in the historical hot spring.
The etymology of Yunokawa derives from the Ainu language meaning the river of hot water, and it has long been believed as hot springs rich in water with high temperatures.
Even now, it boasts its amount of spring discharge with 7000 tons per day and a temperature of 65 degrees Celsius. It attracts widespread popularity as one of the three most famous Onsens in Hokkaido.
